With respect to children under 18 years of age, we collect e-mail addresses only. and we only use that information to respond to questions or to thank the sender of an e-mail message for a project suggestion, and that information collected is then promptly deleted from our system except that if we have determined to adopt a project or product suggestion submitted by a person who is under the age of 18, we may retain the information collected and use it to contact one of the child’s parents to obtain permission to obtain and use the child’s first name and municipality of residence for purposes of posting an acknowledgment on our website with the new project or product such as, for example, “idea submitted by Fred from Wheaton, Illinois,” in which case we will retain only that information collected in the course of those communications needed to evidence our procurement of parental consent.
